DIY Facial Ingredients - Yogurt with antioxidants

Antioxidant and Probiotic Facial

Today I made a DIY yogurt facial mask with Greek yogurt (a great source of skin-healthy zinc) plus two super-powered antioxidants: cranberry and pomegranate.

Here’s why I love this facial recipe:

Greek yogurt  – a great base for facials n the winter, when you need gentle exfoliation. Yogurt is packed with probiotics and is a great moisturizer for dry skin.

Cranberries – a good source of vitamin C and a natural anti-inflammatory.

Pomegranates – contain a super antioxidant called punicic acid, which helps the skin defend itself from free radicals, which can cause premature aging.

To make the mask, I juiced 1/2 cup each of cranberries and pomegranate seeds before adding them to the yogurt. After mixing the blend, Emily and I applied the mask and left it on for @25 minutes.  (Cleanse skin thoroughly with a warm washcloth first).

This masks leaves my skin soft and make my pores seem less noticeable. It’s an easy mask to make – give it a try!
